Bio & Resume
Andrea Rae is a sought after performer and teacher based in
New York City.  Her experience covers a wide variety of
musical styles including Musical Theater, Operetta, Opera,
Concert and Liturgical works.  She holds a Master of Music
degree from The Cleveland Institute of Music and a Bachelor
of Music degree from the University of Michigan, both in
Voice Performance.

Most recently, Ms. Rae appeared as Vashti in the premiere
of the new musical ESTHER: QUEEN OF PERSIA.   
Previously, she was seen in HAIR: The American Love Rock
Music, which with direction by the original choreographer
Julie Arenal, won the 2005 Connecticut Critics Circle awards
for Outstanding Ensemble and Outstanding Director of a
Musical.  Additional theatrical productions have included an
assortment of National Touring, Off Broadway productions,
and various regional productions.  Favorites include
CAMELOT starring Robert Goulet, Hodel in FIDDLER ON
THE ROOF; Polly Browne in THE BOYFRIEND; Sarah
Brown in GUYS & DOLLS; Andrew Lloyd Webber’s MUSIC
OF THE NIGHT; and Cameron Mackintosh’s ENCORE, MR.
PRODUCER!  Other career highlights consist of
appearances at Carnegie Hall in the NOEL COWARD
CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION and at Radio City Music Hall
in THE ESPY AWARDS.

In the classical music genre, Ms. Rae has performed as a
soloist with Israel’s Ra’anana Symphonette Orchestra in the
USA premiere concert tour, and in multiple opera and
operettas including Rose Maybud in RUDDIGORE; Marion
Terry in OVER THE MOON WITH GILBERT & SULLIVAN;
Tess in THE GONDOLIERS; Peep Bo in THE MIKADO; and
Papagena in THE MAGIC FLUTE.

Ms. Rae can be heard weekly in the professional quintet at
Central Synagogue, the oldest Jewish house of worship in
continuous use in New York City.  Additionally, she maintains
a voice studio teaching to students of all ages and levels.
